- Phangan Film Festival (PFF) will be held held on Phangan island, Surat Thani province, Thailand, on February 12-14, 2010.
- PFF's themes are NATURE and SPIRIT.
- There are no restrictions with regards to genres or style of film, but submitted films must relate to one or both festival themes. We welcome films that explore the various spiritual traditions from around the world, as well as films that cherish the human spirit (spiritual films). We welcome a variety of environmental subjects such as climate, water, energy, agriculture/food systems, low-impact sustainable architecture, environmental restoration, biodiversity, advocacy, human impacts, policy, natural resource scarcity, natural history, etc. (environmental films).
- We seek inspiring films that promote awareness, allow a more profound reflection upon contemporary themes and current affairs, enlighten, empower, stimulate new debates and discussions, and hopefully encourage positive action among the festival goers.
- Films are selected on the basis of achievement in form and content.
- Only films completed after 1 January 2004 are eligible for submission.
- Films must be submitted no later than January 5, 2010. Early submissions are encouraged.
Submission deadlines and fees:
Earlybird Deadline: Postmarked by June 17, 2009; Entry Fee: 45 USD
Regular Deadline: Postmarked by August 5, 2009; Entry Fee: 60 USD
Late Deadline: Postmarked by October 13, 2009; Entry Fee: 70 USD
Late Late Deadline: Postmarked by November 30, 2009; Entry Fee: 70 USD
Almost Christmas Deadline: Postmarked by December 22, 2009; Entry Fee: 70 USD
WAB Extended Deadline: Postmarked by January 5, 2010; Entry Fee: 85 USD
Entries to the 2010 PFF must be submitted on the website www.withoutabox.com. Withoutabox grants filmmakers the power to quickly, easily, and economically manage the entire festival submission process online. This is a free and easy-to-use service.

- Films in a language other than English must be subtitled in English.
- The required format for both the selection process and the festival screening is DVD (Pal or NTSC), whatever the original format.
- Your DVD must be labelled with the title of the film, total running time, original format, and the Withoutabox tracking number.
- All costs of sending DVD copies are the responsibility of the participants who are entering their films.
- The DVD copies of your film must be sent to PFF by January 5, 2010 at the very latest (Postmarked). All copies should be sent to:

Please mark on your envelopes/parcels: No commercial value, for cultural purposes only. PFF will not accept deliveries that entail the payment of taxes for the festival.
- All filmmakers will be notified via e-mail no later than January 15, 2010 with the selection results.
- Upon selection, the entrant grants the festival the permission to use all publicity materials including three minutes of the film to be used for promotional purposes. Available press materials must be sent to PFF upon notification of selection.
- Submission materials will not be returned and kept in the festival’s archives.
- Any entries of films made to PFF presuppose knowledge of and acceptance of the rules and regulations as put forth above.
